Today we are waiting for three natural wonders that perfectly describe Iceland. We will see the Strokkur geyser, the Gullfoss waterfall and one of the most difficult to reach but most beautiful locations on the island - the Curlingafyoll geothermal zone.
The transfer takes about an hour. The first point of the route will be the geyser Geyser, which gave its name to all other similar phenomena on the planet.
He's mostly asleep now, but the nearby Strokkur geyser erupts about every 5 minutes. This sight is really impressive. The land around is painted in different colors, and hot springs are found at every turn.
The second natural wonder of the day is the deep and powerful Gullfoss waterfall. Gullfoss is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland. Its size and the strength of the water flows are amazing. You can admire it from several viewing platforms.
We continue to move inland, moving about 1-1.5 hours. In the park itself, we will stop at a cozy restaurant for lunch, where we will taste the most authentic local dishes.
We will spend the afternoon exploring the geothermal zones of Kerlingarfjoll, and take a long walk along the incredible trails that run through the valleys and hills of the park. We'll take a lot of photos. This place will be especially interesting for bloggers and landscape photographers. You can only get to Kerlingarfjoll by jeeps, and the place itself looks more like an oil painting than reality.
Easy trekking in the park - 8 km.
We will return to the hotel around 20:00

Moving to the first location will be about 2.5 - 3 hours. We will see the Selfoss waterfall - one of our favorites, then we will have lunch with pre-prepared lunch boxes and move on to the next location - the turquoise cascade of waterfalls in the Azure gorge. The journey will take 1 hour on a gravel road.
We will also stand at the top of the lava cone and see the very "cosmic" views of Iceland. We will reach our camp later in the evening. Transfer to the camp from the gorge of waterfalls - 1.5 hours.

Meals: breakfast, dinnerAccommodation: tents in a mountain campDay 5. July 13, 2025. Hrafntinnusker HutWe will have breakfast at the camp and start the route at 9 am.
Today we will take a long walk through brightly colored mountains and pitch-black obsidian deserts. The trekking is 21 km long, average in difficulty. We will start from Mount Brennisteinsalda, walk through the geothermal zones and visit the highest mountain camp in Iceland.
The Obsidian desert called Hrafntinnusker, the brightly colored rhyolite mountains of Reykjavik and the Yekultungur area are on the agenda today. Geothermal activity has over time turned these rocky ravines into scorched and sometimes bright yellow and red wastelands. These colors contrast sharply with the soft pale sandy shades around. Yekultungura Peak is a wonderful place with views of the entire Fjallabak area (behind the mountain) and Lake Alftavatn.
If we have the strength enough, we will also visit the Ice wall - previously it was a snow cave that collapsed due to the activity of the geothermal zone and turned into a beautiful black-and-white canvas with deep blue cracks surrounded by bright green mosses.
We will return to the camp around 7 p.m. (depends on the pace of the group).
Meals: breakfast, lunch - snack on the route, dinnerAccommodation: tents in a mountain campDay 6. July 14, 2025. Colored mountains and rainbow ridgesWe have breakfast at the camp and set off on the route at 9 am.
Exciting alien species are waiting for us today. This is one of the most beautiful trails in the Landmannalaugar Valley. A 19 km long circular route awaits us, with an ascent to the highest point of the valley, Mount Skali. We will see colored ridges that combine a variety of colors from yellow to bright blue and stretch for several kilometers. We will also cross black lava fields with green mosses and will be able to look at our camp from a height, not only the home valley will open before us, but also mountains and plains far beyond its borders.
In the evening, we will return to the camp, have dinner, bask in the hot springs, and sit around the campfire.
Meals: breakfast, lunch - snack on the route, dinner
Accommodation: tents in a mountain camp
Day 7. July 15, 2025. Ljotipollur Crater LakeAfter a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast, we set off on a simple but very beautiful 10 km long trek to a real volcanic crater. We are interested in Lake Ljotipollur, which impresses the imagination with its incredible colors. Turquoise water surrounded by red and green slopes contrasts with the endless black lava desert around.
After a walk around the crater, we return to the camp, have lunch and drive towards Reykjavik.
Travel time is 4 hours.
We check into the hotel, relax and enjoy the comfort and civilization.
