KAMPALA — JINJA — WHITE NILE RIVER — MBALEAfter breakfast, we’ll head to Jinja, one of Uganda’s most historically significant locations, where the Nile River originates. The source of the Nile in Jinja is a major attraction for tourists eager to witness the grandeur of the world’s longest river. Our guide will explain its importance and how the Nile has shaped the culture and life of millions of people living along its banks. This is where the great journey of water begins, flowing through countries and uniting Africa.
After lunch in Jinja, we will continue our journey to Mbale, where we will check in at the hotel. In the evening, we’ll head to the Sipi Falls, arguably Uganda’s most beautiful waterfalls. The falls are not only a natural wonder but also an inspiration for many travelers and photographers.

MBALE — SIPI FALLS — MOROTO — KARAMOJONG VILLAGESToday we will immerse ourselves in the stunning landscapes of Mount Elgon and take a hike to the Sipi Falls. These waterfalls are among the most powerful and picturesque in the country. In addition to the main waterfall, which is over 100 meters tall, the region boasts over 300 smaller waterfalls. The hike to the falls will take about 3 hours, with a professional guide showing us the best spots for photography and allowing us to enjoy the unique views of the valley.
After lunch, we will embark on an evening safari in Pian Upe, where we can spot giraffes, ostriches, cheetahs, and other wildlife.

TRAVEL TO THE ATAKER TRIBE CULTURAL FESTIVAL LOCATION — PIAN-UPE VILLAGEAfter breakfast, we will travel to the Nakapirit region where the unique cultural festival is taking place. We will meet representatives of the different Ateker tribes, visit one of their villages. In the evening we will enjoy photography and immerse ourselves in traditional dances and performances by local artists.

We will be entirely dedicated to exploring the traditions of the Ataker tribes. We will have the chance to interact with local people, learn about their lives, traditions, and culture. For locals, dances are not only a form of expression but an essential part of social interaction, and they often invite guests to join in. This is not just a festival but a full cultural exchange, where you will learn about the philosophy of life connected to nature, the value of leaders, and the role of family.
This is a great opportunity to meet four tribes in one place, especially for those who may not have time to visit all four countries. We will meet representatives of the Nyangatoum from Ethiopia, the Turkana from Kenya, the Toposa from South Sudan, and the Karimojong and Teso from Uganda.
A special table will be prepared for our group in the front row for easy photo and video opportunities. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a bonfire, dinner, and relaxation at Nakaapirit or Africana Resort.

ATAKER TRIBE CULTURAL FESTIVALToday will be another day of the festival! This is an important opportunity to feel the spirit of community and respect for traditions passed down through generations. Get ready for an atmosphere of openness, hospitality, and warmth.

Today, we will visit the largest village in East Africa, belonging to the Jie people of the Kotido area, and observe the harvest gathering conducted by the Karimojong people, as this will be the first month of the new harvest. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Karamoja region. Dinner and overnight stay at the Ateker Hotel.

Day 8. September 6, 2025 (Saturday). KIDEPO NATIONAL PARKKidepo National Park is one of Uganda’s most remote but awe-inspiring natural wonders. It is home to elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, and many other animals. The park serves as a sanctuary for many endangered species, and a safari here is a true adventure.
In the evening, we’ll have a farewell dinner and share our emotions about the expedition.

MORNING SAFARI — CHARTER FLIGHT TO ENTEBBE — FLIGHT HOMEEarly coffee and a morning safari, followed by a flight to Entebbe from Kidepo Airstrip. On the way, we’ll visit the old Kidepo headquarters and the Apoka Lodge Museum. Lunch at the airport before checking in for the flight. The flight to Entebbe takes about 1.5 hours. Afterward, we will board our international flight home.
