February 6, 2027. LA PAZ – WHALE SHARKS – LORETOn winter, the Baja California Peninsula and the surrounding waters of the Sea of Cortez become a true magnet for marine giants. This is the season when Whale Shark — the largest fish on the planet — arrive here. Despite their enormous size, these giants are completely harmless, feeding exclusively on plankton and calmly allowing people to observe them in their natural habitat. We will have the opportunity to snorkel alongside them — one of those rare experiences that stays with you for life.
At the same time, Humpback Whale also migrate through the waters of the Sea of Cortez. On our way to the whale shark area, we may spot their powerful blows on the horizon or the silhouettes of these giants rising from the sea. Sometimes they appear surprisingly close to the boat, reminding us that this region is part of one of the most spectacular marine migration routes on Earth.
After our marine expedition, we continue north along the peninsula to Loreto — a charming colonial town and the oldest Spanish settlement in Baja California, which will serve as our base for further encounters with the extraordinary wildlife of the region.
Accommodation at Hacienda Suites Loreto — a comfortable hotel located in the historic center of Loreto, within walking distance of the waterfront, the old mission, and the atmospheric streets of the town.

Loreto - Sea Lions on Coronado Island - Guerrero NegroIn the morning, we head out to sea toward Coronado Island — one of the most beautiful corners of the Sea of Cortez. Along its black volcanic cliffs lie colonies of sea lions: lazy, noisy, and completely convinced that the island belongs only to them.
At this time of year, there is also a good chance of encountering the Blue Whale on the way to the island — the largest animal on the planet, reaching over 30 meters in length. Their migration passes through these waters during this season. Sometimes, on the way to the island, we may spot the powerful blow rising above the calm sea surface, or even see the giant itself slowly crossing the bay.
Later, we will travel to the desert town of Guerrero Negro, our base for observing whales. Accommodation at Hotel TerraSal.
Meals included: Breakfast Accommodation included: Hotel TerraSal or similarDay 8. February 8, 2027. These whales, feeling secure in protected waters and aware of their numerical advantage, exhibit calm and friendly behavior, often approaching boats to play with visitors and even allowing themselves to be touched or kissed. Travelers from around the globe gather here for an intimate experience with these magnificent creatures. In the afternoon, weather permitting, we will venture into the local sand dunes.
